Changes, Changes, Changes

Stephen has hardly had any homework this week. 1 quiz & 2 assignments. He is already finished with school stuff for the week. It's great, but kind of weird. We've been at this for two years now. Life is changing.

Last night, the nursing director's secretary at the hospital called Steve to tell him to put in his application so he can orient to be hired as an RN as soon as he takes boards in June. It is a blessing that he didn't have to look for a job, it found him. We have been wondering what direction to pursue. Most hospitals in UT have a hiring freeze right now. We feel good about taking this job for now & then looking for other opportunities as they arise.

On Tuesday, Jonathan finally heard back from Maple Dell Scout Camp. As expected, they were very impressed with him & offered him a training position this summer. If he does well & is still interested, he will be a paid counselor next year. He is very excited. He has orientation on May 2nd. Then he will go to staff training for a week after school is out. He will work for 4 weeks. He will go up Monday and come home Saturday.

Stephen has decided to attend graduation after all. We will go up to Weber State on May 1st for the ceremony. His brother and his family are coming, & we are excited to see them. We invite any family or friends who would like to come. It is bittersweet. We wish his mom, who was a nurse, was able to be with us on this day. She passed away a fews years ago, & we know she is smiling down on us.

Today, I was offiically offered a contract with Brownie Scraps, an online digita/ hybrid scrapbook store to be their advertising director. I am excited for this opportunity. I like that my boss is a stay at home mom of 6 and understands & values motherhood as I do. I am grateful to be able to use my time that the kids are in school to earn money for projects we want to do around the house, but still be able to stay home should a child need me.

Life is good!
