Nothing Exciting,

Nothing too exciting has happened this week, and I am very happy about that. It's about time life slows down a bit.

Stephen took a day off this week so he could start writing his term paper on pediatric septic shock for his advanced Critical Care class. He worked a 6 hour shift at the Emergency Room as part of his clinical hours. He has to complete a total of 60 hours by Feb. 28th, and only has 18 hours to go. Yesterday, he completed two assignments for his critical care class. Today, he wrote two nursing care plans. Tomorrow, he'll finish his nursing theory paper and write a two page paper on transitioning from a staff nurse to a charge nurse. If you add it all together, he has written over 20 pages! But, it's a typical week for him.

We are slowly looking into graduate schools. He'll need to make up his mind by August on which program he wants to apply to. Right now, he is taking "bridge classes" to prepare for a Master's degree. Anyway, a friend of his graduated with a Masters from Westminister College in Salt Lake City. We looked at their website & discovered that that they have a Nurse Anesthesia program. Stephen is very excited! The program is very competitive, only 18 applicants are admitted per year. But he is going to apply & see if he gets in. If he isn't accepted, he'll apply to a Family Nurse Practitioner program.

Jonathan completed the range portion of Driver's Ed, He said it was VERY boring, sitting in a car for three hours, driving around cones. He has to complete the road experience, & then he's finished! Unfortunately, the teacher can only take 2 students out a time. So, he may have to wait six weeks for his turn.

Kaitlyn & I bought Jonathan's date a corsage for the dance this Saturday. Flowers costs a lot!

Poor Hannah caught a nasty cold and was in bed for two days. She is feeling better now.

Oh, and Hunter chewed up a portion of the couch Steve bought me as an anniversary gift last year. I was SO mad, I was ready to get rid of the mutt. Fortunately, we were able to repair it. Good thing for Hunter!
Like I said, nothing too exciting.
