Jonathan is an Eagle Scout

Sunday, January 31st

The door bell rang late in the evening. As usual, the kids raced each other to the door, each determined to be the one to answer the door. I don’t know who actually answered the door, but the person who knocked asked for Jonathan. He handed Jonathan an envelope. Jonathan ran downstairs, his sisters trailing behind him, and announced that the envelope contained information about Eagle Board of Review. He made a big production out of it, waving it around. Everyone laughed and starting chanting, “open it.” He opened the envelope as slow as possible, adding to the drama. Finally, he read the letter to us, which said the Eagle board reviewed his application, and congratulated him for his candidiacy. The letter informed him that his final Board of Review is on Thursday, February 4^th at 7:00 in Santaquin. We all cheered! Yay, finally Jonathan is an Eagle Scout! Earning the rank took him four years to complete and we are proud of his achievement!
