10 Days, really?

Wow, it's been 10 days since I last blogged, wow! All I can say is it has been busy!

A nasty bug made its rounds through our house. First Jonathan came down with it. A fever, a pounding headache, fever, chills. Then Hannah caught it, Next, Emily caught it, & Stephen came down with it. Kaitlyn & I were fortunate as it seemed to pass us by.

Jonathan relapsed & became really sick on Tuesday. We thought for sue he had strep, & took him in to the doctor. No, same virus. He was home for 2 days, then back to school. On Friday, he came home with pink eyes in BOTH eyes, & we went back to the doctor. He had to stay home all weekend, and he was very grumpy about i! His eyes are better & hopefully, everyone will stay well.

Kaitlyn is back to taking piano lessons, & loving it! She also started running with a group of girls at 5 am to get in shape for track. Yes, you read that right.... 5 AM! She woke up on her own, went running, & came home to get ready for school. She is amazing.... and in bed by 9pm every night!

Kaitlyn and EMILY had Young Women's New Beginnings. Emily won't turn 12 until July, but they wanted her to come to introduce her to the personal progress program. Kaitlyn is about half way finished & we made the goal to finish it before Em turns 12, so she can earn her Honor Bee by helping Emily with her personal progress.

Jonathan's Eagle packet came today, & all that is left is holding his Court of Honor. It is tentatively planned for March 19th. More details to come.

Emily checked out "Taste of Home Cookie Recipe book" and has been making delicious cookies all weekend.

On Thursday, I helped at Hannah's activity days meeting. The girls frosted sugar cookies & packaged them. Their leader made hearts to stick on doors. After the girls frosted the cookies, they took the cookies & hearts around & "Heart attacked" neighbors by sticking the hearts on doors & leaving a plate of cookies. It was very cute to see how excited they were to do something nice for others, & nice to spend time with Hannah.

Stephen finished his clinical experience in the Emergency Room at the hospital. This last week has been pretty difficult. On top of all the sickness, Stephen had clinical on Monday, Tuesday, & Friday night. He also had to write a HUGE research paper on pediatric sepsis. He wrote it a section, I edited it.... it took all week, & by the end of it, we were both exhausted! I am glad he only has one short paper to write next week, not much editing for me! However, poor Stephen has a midterm exam & about 7 quizzes to take. School is hard, but we're making it through it one day at a time.
